Epic Games Confirms Xbox One Cross-Play Support For Fortnite Mo



  • fortnite mobile handheldLast week, Epic Games announced that they is going to be porting Fortnite to iOS and Android devices and that the overall game will feature cross-platform support between PC, PlayStation 4, Mac, iOS, and Android.
        “In partnership with your friends at Sony, Fortnite Battle Royale will support Cross Play and Cross Progression between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS and finally Android. This means players across devices can squad on top of friends and play together.”
    Xbox One users were quick to point out that this Xbox One wasn’t around the list. Epic Games Fortnite Items and Microsoft got clear over the weekend which the Xbox One version of Fortnite will feature cross platform play relating to the PC, Mac, and cellular devices. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 cross-play, however, is really a no-go.
    “We are actually working closely while using team at Epic Games for a long time to bring this functionality to all or any current and future versions of Fortnite and expect it to be positioned on Xbox together with other platforms,” a Microsoft spokesperson told The Verge. “Microsoft is almost certainly a leading voice in encouraging the adoption of cross-platform play plus the potential of connecting players across PC, mobile and consoles.”
    Epic Games PR Manager also confirms Xbox One support on Twitter.
