Epic Games’ PvE multiplayer zombie tower defense survivalbox MMO thing Fortnite is progressing well rolling around in their launch week, no less than in relation to non-Steam PC early access sales. Creative Director Darren Sugg tweeted out yesterday the presale numbers.
“Absolutely humbled over the response to soon’s Fortnite Items he wrote. “500k+ digital pre-order sales and getting started!”
But the storm brewing on Reddit suggests the sale part is now being intended — the experience’s current issues aren’t inside early game in the least but in the paywall monetization that comes later. As one Redditor put it, the game is pay-to-progress using a certain point: “This manner of churning items continues utilizing the material requirements growing exponentially with each step of progression. You will need more and many more items Buy Fortnite Items which could be time/money gated and no volume of playing the event will alleviate that.”
