For every child dreams of being the next Kung Fu Action Star or MMA fighter. However, these hopes and aspirations are the most basic thrills that martial arts can offer. The true wisdom and knowledge is hidden deep in every mentor that passes his wisdom down to the next generation. It is through the mentor that the students grows. This relationship is absolutely imperative for Kung Fu to thrive. The essence is not in the form, however in the relationship that the student and teacher posses. This seeking spirit to unite together for a greater purpose is the most significant virtue inherent in real Kung Fu. As the students and teachers of Kung Fu in the 21st Century, we are a flowing river of wisdom that is unique and invaluable in every way. Every so often there comes a generation that writes the pages in a chapter that many will read for countless generations. The Long Beach Internationals to many is the cradle of Kung Fu in America. Here in this place, Bruce Lee demonstrated the value of Kung Fu to the world. His effort to promote Kung Fu in America was the catalyst for so many motion picture films and without his effort in Long Beach perhaps many of us would not have been here today. As the new generation of leaders here in the 21st century, it is our obligation and our purpose to unite all Kung Fu practitioners and realize our true potential. It is our mission to promote and protect the sacred art known as Kung Fu for the entire world to cherish. By way of each Shifu, we can realize our dreams and re-emerge for everyone to see.
